Interview Prep Tips

You snagged an interview for a position you’ve had your eye on. Congratulations! Now what? We’ve got some tips to help you put your best foot forward and make a great impression.

Set a reminder:

Sometimes life gets hectic. Make sure you have plenty of time to prepare and plan by setting a reminder or marking the date and time on a calendar.

Do your research:

Look into the company. Take a look at their website and marketing materials. It is best to go into the interview with a solid understanding of the company culture and their history.

Rest Up:

Even though your mind might be running the night before your interview, try to get a full night of rest. Also, eat a good meal and be hydrated so your mind is sharp and you feel your best!

Dress to impress

While some companies might be more casual than others, always maintain a neat and clean appearance. Proper hygiene and grooming are important, too. Try to avoid over the top accessories, too many statement pieces, or overwhelming fragrance. Your qualifications should be the focus of the interview.

Print multiple copies of your resume. It is better to bring too many than too few. You never know when someone else in the company would love to learn more about you. Your preparedness may impress them.

Follow Up:

Be sure to reach out and say thank you to your interviewer after the meeting. Typically, this should be done within a few days. A brief email or mailing a thank you note
